As I look back on my New Year’s resolutions, I realize that 2009 was not a good year for me.
My goals to cut education funding and spend the money on special interest groups and give tax breaks to the rich were thwarted continuously by those people at the Florida Education Association.

Resolution 5
Prevent the penny rally at the State Capitol.
Result:
Education supporters, including students, parents, FEA members, educators and community members, donated more than two million pennies to draw attention to the need for more sufficient school funding in Florida.
Piles of pennies were created in Tallahassee from the donations. And, nearby almost two thousand people rallied at the State Capitol to urge legislators to stop cuts to education funding.
