Keep the Promise

Florida's students deserve nothing less than a world-class public education. But the work being done at the State Capitol is eroding their promise to keep our schools strong. It's vital that we hold our lawmakers to their commitment to properly fund education.

Don't let legislators break their promise to our children
The economic downturn has made our schools easy targets for legislators looking for ways to save a few dollars. But even though times are tough, that's no excuse to break the promise to our children. Decreasing school funding creates layoffs of teachers and educational staff professionals, increased class sizes, inadequate resources, and fewer class choices. These changes will have a long-lasting negative impact on our children's future.

Talk with your elected officials
We elected leaders who promised to make our schools a priority. It is our duty to hold them to that pledge. Talk with your elected officials about what is happening to our schools. It's time for us all to get involved to help Make Our Schools a Priority!
